Part of building a healthy relationship with your hair and hair color is knowing what kind of maintenance routine is comfortable for your lifestyle, schedule, and budget.
Do you kind of love a regular salon visit every 6 weeks? Maybe seasonally, every 3-4 months feels better for you. Someone who falls on the super low-maintenance side might only want to commit to 1 or 2 color sessions a year. Totally cool. There is a beautiful color plan ready for you.
This answer varies widely from one person to the next based on many factors. My specialty is giving you a look that will grow out with ease, giving you a flexible timeframe for your next visit; however, every cut will need
-Very short cuts (like barber style) look best when maintained on a 4-6 week rotation.
-Longer pixie styles, short bobs, and other above-the-shoulder styles can go 8-10 weeks.
-Lengths around the collar bone and a little longer do well with a cut every 3-4 months.
-If you already have long hair, love your length, and want just maintain health, your trims will depend on your unique head of hair. Some people should have a trim every 3-4 months, while others can easily go 6 months without experiencing frazzled ends.
-I can't recommend anyone go longer than 6 months without a haircut. Have I seen it? Of course. Will I make you feel guilty if you go forever without a cut? Absolutely not. But your hair could really use it and you totally deserve it.
