Frequently Asked Questions

  • How often should I have my color done?
Part of building a healthy relationship with your hair and hair color is knowing what kind of maintenance routine is comfortable for your lifestyle, schedule, and budget. Do you kind of love a regular salon visit every 6 weeks? Maybe seasonally, every 3-4 months feels better for you. Someone who falls on the super low-maintenance side might only want to commit to 1 or 2 color sessions a year. Totally cool. There is a beautiful color plan ready for you.
  • How often should I get my hair cut?
This answer varies widely from one person to the next based on many factors. My specialty is giving you a look that will grow out with ease, giving you a flexible timeframe for your next visit; however, every cut will need -Very short cuts (like barber style) look best when maintained on a 4-6 week rotation. -Longer pixie styles, short bobs, and other above-the-shoulder styles can go 8-10 weeks. -Lengths around the collar bone and a little longer do well with a cut every 3-4 months. -If you already have long hair, love your length, and want just maintain health, your trims will depend on your unique head of hair. Some people should have a trim every 3-4 months, while others can easily go 6 months without experiencing frazzled ends. -I can't recommend anyone go longer than 6 months without a haircut. Have I seen it? Of course. Will I make you feel guilty if you go forever without a cut? Absolutely not. But your hair could really use it and you totally deserve it.
  • How do I know which service to book?
On the Services page, you will find a list of available services with descriptions of each. If you've reviewed the service descriptions and you're unsure of what might be the best fit for you, I recommend booking a virtual consult to chat a little more. We'll meet over Zoom to talk about your goals and address any questions and/or concerns you may have.

  • Do I need to book a haircut separate from my color session?
For some guests, maintenance/health trims are able to be shaped, dusted, and detailed quickly as an express cut within the timeframe of the color session for an all-inclusive service. For others, the desired result calls for extra attention and should be booked accordingly (ex: dimensional color session *w/ extra time) Guests who are looking for a significant shift in both cut and color are encouraged to either: Book a cut separate from your color (cut first) Book a “long-haul session”
